President Barack Obama wishes that life in Washington was just a little more like the cutthroat political world portrayed in Netflix’s “House of Cards.”

Speaking at a gathering of technology executives at the White House on Tuesday, Obama asked Netflix CEO Reed Hastings if he had brought any advance copies of the show’s new season.

According to a pool report, Hastings laughed at the president’s quip and joked that he should make a cameo appearance on the Emmy-winning series.

“I wish things were that ruthlessly efficient,” Obama said. “It’s true. It’s like Kevin Spacey, man this guy’s getting a lot of stuff done.”
