Matthews played audio of Lee Bright, a Tea Party Republican who is running against Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), at a fundraiser in Oklahoma where Bright said people in food stamp lines often have their nails done, nice wallets and nice cars. Matthews took that to mean Bright was referring to black people and black people only, and implied that all Republicans feel that way.
…So what’s this about with the fingernails? Are they talkin’ about fingernail extenders? What are they talking about? First of all these are descriptions of people… the person who had a certain kind of fingernail polish, is driving a certain kinda car, is carrying a certain kinda pocketbook… to a, to a Safeway!
