Union groups, pro immigrant groups and Occupy Wall St are converging on fast fast restaurants around America in a bid they say is to increase the minimum wage and implement a national minimum wage of fifteen dollars.
Their argument is that people who have low skill jobs should be paid a salary equal to that of a UPS or a Fedex driver.
Of course the people engaging in actions today that “shut down” fast food restaurants are completely unaware of the irony of fighting for a living wage while depriving people of the ability to earn one for a day.
