Ah Illinois, the Land Of Lincoln – where a man born of Kentucky became the hallmark of a state just recently incorporated into the United States. Much discussion in the early days of the Obama campaign surfaced around Honest Abe. The once junior senator from Illinois who would rise to prominence in the Republican Party. Would be known as one our greatest orators and ultimately the most fateful president till Kennedy.
Like Lincoln, Barack Obama our current president was also a lawyer he was also a law teacher and ultimately President. Both of their places of birth start with a “K”. Lincoln in Kentucky and Obama is Kenya. That’s where the similarities end unfortunately for Obama and his public relations dept Organizing For Action.
Today I was shocked to read like many of you that Barack Obama, our nation’s first black president (second if you count Clinton) did not attend the 150th Anniversary ceremony at Gettysburg. I find that an odd choice of decision for Obama and let me explain why before the leftists of you in Disqus start shouting racist.
Barack Hussein Obama is an anomaly. Born of a woman who’s name is Stanley and a Black Communist father Obama eventually rose to prominence as a state senator and ultimately a U.S Senator. This is extraordinary because in my mind, none of this would have been possible without a victory at Gettysburg. Do I think Obama owes the people who died at Gettysburg a little more than the average white president? Yes. I do.
Obama is unique, he directly and completely benefited from Lincoln and his legacy as well as those who fought and died on the battlefield at Gettysburg Pennsylvania. Without this decisive win at Gettysburg, historians have speculated the Confederacy may have wheeled right and into the heart of our Union at Washington D.C.
Barack Obama is a constant agitator of America, he can’t help it, it’s what Frank Marshal Davis taught him to do. I will admit, even I thought he’d attend the Gettysburg anniversary today despite rumors to the contrary. I felt that as our first black President, he’d relish the chance to bloviate on himself and Lincoln and remind us all how he’s black you know. Instead, he chose to sit home, feet up on the resolute desk, chillin’ with J-Biden and V-Jazzle doing nothing of any consequence.
I’ll close with this thought: On the 150th anniversary of the most decisive union victory of the American Civil War the President of The United States Of America should attend, white, black, woman or Marco Rubio. You know why? Because had the Union lost, this might be called the Confederate States of America and we might have a parliamentary system of governance now (but thankfully we don’t, those are creepy).
