Cruz acquits himself well. He comes off as intelligent, but approachable, not fitting the “extremist” stereotype the Democrats are making every effort to attach to him.
He should loosen the tie more often, it gives him a softer, more agreeable look. He gets good applause at different points throughout his appearance. The audience is cordial, and clearly listening carefully.
