Actually, I sort of believe it. If you look at the presidential schedule and look at how Obama delegates, most of the actual real work is done by Biden. Biden is treated like a pliable workhorse. Hillary would never have been as submissive. Biden is the one who negotiated with Congress. Biden is the one he sends out whenever he, Obama, doesn’t want to deal with a situation. Biden is his human teleprompter replacement.

President Barack Obama “never considered” replacing Vice President Joe Biden on the 2012 ticket with then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Friday in response to a report in the forthcoming book “Double Down: Game Change 2012.”
Authors Mark Halperin and John Heilemann write that the president’s leading advisers surveyed voters to find out whether Clinton might make a better running mate for Obama. Bill Daley, then the White House chief of staff, told the New York Times on Thursday night that he was doing “due diligence” in looking into the question. Ultimately, the campaign decided that it wasn’t worth switching horses, and Carney said Friday that it wasn’t something that Obama gave any thought to.
“The president never considered that,” Carney said, adding that if it had been brought to Obama, “he would have laughed it out of the room.”
