Have fun, Jesse!
Via Chicago Sun-Times:
Disgraced former congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. reported to federal prison Monday to begin serving his 2 1/2 year sentence — and his lawyer is already planning on coordinating visits from family, politicians and religious leaders, including Minister Louis Farrakhan.
In an unusual twist, after dodging the media for more than a year, Jackson issued a news release announcing his surrender to a North Carolina prison facility, his expected visitor list and even a mailing address for those wishing to write to him.
“He’s not in BOP custody,” said Ed Ross, a spokesman for that agency. “The BOP inmate locator is up to date, which indicates he’s not in custody.”
Reached early Tuesday, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said he was uncertain of his son’s whereabouts.
