Boo-hoo.

Via The Hill:

Michelle Obama blamed Congress for the administration’s legislative defeats.

“Some of our most frustrating defeats happened” because of Congress, she told attendees at the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum on Friday.

Citing the DREAM Act and gun legislation as examples, the first lady pointed out that the DREAM Act “failed twice — once by just five votes in the Senate, and once by just four. So the President had to sign an executive order to finally get these kids some relief.”

She noted that gun legislation failed by six votes in the Senate.

Obama did give Congress credit for passing the Affordable Care Act, arguing “many of our most important accomplishments, so much of what Barack has done to help working families, that all happened because of who we had in Congress.”
