Subbing in for Ed Schultz, MSNBC’s Michael Eric Dyson went after Republicans on Tuesday for both the shutdown fight and the battle over Obamacare, saying that these Republicans join government just so they can “destroy” it from the inside, calling out Ted Cruz in particular for the strategy.
Dyson declared these Republicans to be “jealous” and hateful, saying their constant fight on Obamacare makes them “desperate” to “justify the crusade that cost us billions.” The shutdown was estimated to cost24 billion dollars.
He said, “Their mentality isn’t ‘Something’s broken, so let’s work to fix it.’ Their mentality instead is ‘Something’s broken, let’s destroy it.’”
