I’m pretty sure we can narrow the political ideology of the “vandals” down to one in particular.
THE WOODLANDS, Texas — A military family is trying to understand why anyone would vandalize dozens of flags flying outside their Woodlands home.
“This is what I came home to,” said Sonja Norman, as she showed KHOU 11 News small flags with snapped poles. “They were stuck in the ground and you can tell they were broken in half.”
Last week, the Veterans of Foreign Wars asked them to line the entrance to their subdivision with flags to honor Private First Class Noah Norman who was coming home from the Marine Corps on leave.
Sonja noticed the damage to about 30 small flags when she got home from work.
“I was very upset, very hurt,” Sonja said. “I think I wanted to cry more than anything when I saw that.”
Other family members just don’t understand why anyone would want to be so disrespectful.
“I think it’s really disgraceful and really wrong especially because if it hadn’t been for my brother-in-law, they wouldn’t have the right even the freedom to break the sticks in half,” said Melissa Norman who married to the oldest Norman son.
