Premature detonation syndrome strikes again.

FARYAB, Afghanistan – At least two militants trying to plant land mines in Qaisar District, Faryab Province, were killed by a premature explosion October 8, officials said October 9. Five other militants were injured.

Abdul Jamil Siddiqui, the district’s administrative head, said it happened overnight, according to Pajhwok Afghan News.
