Iran and Hezbollah’s statements sound nearly identical to a CAIR press release.

Iran:

(PressTV)Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast has condemned the “abhorrent” act of burning Qur’an, the Muslim Holy book, in the US state of Florida.

“Such radical acts are the result of Islamophobic moves in the US and those who have committed such crimes are contributing to US hegemonic plots, which seek to create a rift between divine religions,” Mehmanparast said Thursday.

He expressed concern over the desecration of the holy Qur’an in the US and described the move as “blasphemous and repugnant”.

“The US government, under the international norms and laws, is obliged to prevent the spread of religious hatred,” he went on to say.

Hezbollah:

(PressTV) — Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has condemned the recent desecration of the Holy Qur’an as an attempt to provoke sedition and religious conflicts.

“The crime of burning the holy Qur’an by Pastor Terry Jones in the United States comes as part of a campaign which is taking various forms of expression. . . It reflects enmity towards religion,” said a Hezbollah statement on Tuesday, quoted in a Press TV report from Beirut.

The resistance movement also denounced the sacrilegious act as a call for disputes over faith and religion. “It seeks to deviate global public opinion from the real conflicts between arrogant powers and the world’s oppressed people,” the Lebanese political party noted.
