Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Monday said Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) is afraid to allow a vote on the Senate-passed continuing resolution (CR).
“I ask John Boehner why are you afraid?” Reid asked on the Senate floor. “Are you afraid it will pass and the people will know you held the federal government hostage for no reason?”
Reid referred to a comment Boehner made Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that there are “not the votes in the House” to approve a clean spending bill.
