On Sunday, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew stated that never in the history of the United States since 1793 had a debt ceiling increase been held hostage by legislatures tacking on riders the bill in his words “holding the economy of America hostage.”

And Mr Lew is absolutely, positively 100% correct.  Never in the history of America has something this treasonous, nauseating and ridiculous ever happened.  Except when it did in 1973 and the Democrats did it.
