Yesterday, the Family Feud Twitter account tweeted out an attack on the Tea Party and John Boehner:

After being roundly criticized and soundly Twitter-smacked for the tweet, without response, today the account claimed it had been “hacked”:
Our account was hacked. Earlier post was not from the show. We apologize for it and took it down.
— Family Feud (@FamilyFeud) October 6, 2013
The claim was met with some skepticism, with some comparing it to a “Weiner-defense”.
@FamilyFeud Really? Not buying it! Proof needed. Sounds like PR spin. Who hacked it?

Did you file a police report? @FamilyFeud Our account was hacked. Earlier post was not from the show. We apologize for it and took it down.

The tweet itself was similar to a tweet being pushed by another army of “eggs”, the $10/hour trolls, often hired by the left to push agenda items on Twitter.
