Obama made a phone call to Rouhani on Friday and spoke to him for 15 minutes.

This was followed by Obama and Rouhani tweeting at each other and about the phone call. Obama tweeted “his respect” for Rouhani, and said if progress is made on nuclear issues, that could positively impact on Syria issue.

“Khodahafez” translates to “God Be With You” in Farsi, and is a common way of saying good-bye in Iran.

Media has reported that the issue of Pastor Saeed Abedini was raised by Obama, raising the hopes that some progress might be made in freeing the captive pastor held for allegedly preaching Christianity.

I am glad that Obama raised the issue of Abedini, which should have been raised long ago. However, I wonder in all the love fest if Obama brought up any of the following information?

Rouhani meeting with anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan while in NYC
-Iran hacking Navy computers as recently as last week
-Iran is two months from having enriched uranium
months of attacks by Iran on US Banks, costing millions of dollars in damage
-that Iranian spy, linked with terrorism, who was taking photos of the US Embassy in Tel Aviv, who was arrested by Israel on September 11.
-Iran’s continuing support of terrorism

A smart enemy doesn’t face you head-on, strength-to-strength, especially when you are stronger.

A smart enemy figures your weaknesses, talks sweetly, tells you what you want to hear, and buys time. Hey, it worked for Assad.

Meanwhile, Iran’s nuclear program continues apace.
