We can safely assume McRINO was one of those trying to get Wallace to bash Cruz.

Sen. Ted Cruz is responding to the news that some of his GOP colleagues wanted Chris Wallace to hammer him in an interview, with the Texas Republican saying that they are afraid of anything that “changes the clubby way Washington does business.”
“I mean folks can do whatever they want to resist change, and there are a lot of people that have been in Washington a long time that are fearful of change. They’re fearful of risk, they’re fearful of anything that changes the clubby way Washington does business,” Cruz said Monday on Fox New’s “Hannity.”
After an interview with Cruz aired on “Fox News Sunday,” Wallace said he received “unsolicited research and questions” from Republicans after a week of criticism toward Cruz and the strategy to defund Obamacare. “This has been one of the strangest weeks I’ve ever had in Washington, and I say that because as soon as we listed Ted Cruz as our featured guest this week, I got unsolicited research and questions not from Democrats, but from top Republicans who — to hammer Cruz,” Wallace said.
