Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Friday that House Republican’s attempt to defund ObamaCare is “irresponsible and futile.”

“Republicans are simply postponing for a few days the inevitable choice they must face: pass a clean bill to fund the government, or force a shutdown,” Reid said. “I have said it before but it seems to bear repeating: the Senate will not pass any bill that defunds or delays ObamaCare.”

Reid’s comments came moments after the House voted 230-189 for legislation that would keep the government running through mid-December, while also defunding the president’s signature healthcare law.
