House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Friday accused House Republicans of “brutality” for introducing a bill that funds government but defunds Obamacare.
“Either you don’t know what you are doing or this is one of the most intentional acts of brutality that you have cooked up with stiff competition for that honor. It cuts billions of dollars again I say, from the National Institutes of Health, delaying important research and denying medical breakthroughs for future generations,” Pelosi said speaking on the House floor.
The House is voting Friday on a continuing resolution (CR) that keeps the federal government running after Sept. 30 at current sequester levels of $986.3 billion through Dec. 15 and defunds the Affordable Care Act.
Pelosi called the bill “a wolf in wolf’s clothing.”
