If they really want to “stand with women” they wouldn’t ignore what’s happening to them across the Islamic world.

Drew —

Today, we’re launching the Stand with Women initiative.

Here’s why:

Women’s rights have come a long way — but there’s still a lot of work to do.

1. In 2013 alone, 17 states have attacked women’s rights by putting up barriers and restrictions to reproductive health care.

2. The pay gap between men and women remains persistent — the average full-time female worker loses approximately $434,000 in wages over a 40-year period as a direct result of the gender pay gap.

3. And women are still missing from key leadership roles in business. Only 4.6 percent of Fortune 1000 companies are run by women, and in the elite Fortune 500, there are only 21 female CEOs.
