Ah, our weak President, already paying benefits…

Via The Blaze:

On the heels of Russia’s apparently successful diplomatic agreement with the U.S. to avert a strike against Syria, President Vladimir Putin has reportedly agreed to travel to Iran to help work out a strategy for its nuclear program.

Putin is said to have accepted an invitation to visit Tehran and assist the Islamic regime, the Daily Caller says, citing Fars News Agency’s Saturday report.

Fars said Iranian President Hassan Rowhani asked Putin on Friday while they were at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said the Russian president accepted, the Daily Caller adds.

Western nations generally suspect the Iranian nuclear program is cover for nuclear weapons manufacturing, while Putin is viewed by Iran as an ally who can “protect” the regime in the face of international pressure, especially from the U.S., the Daily Caller notes.

Fars, the media outlet run by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, has not announced details of Putin’s reported trip to Tehran, the Daily Caller notes.
