Confirming what Pew found when they asked the same question.

President Obama’s handling of the situation in Syria earns the approval of just 28 percent of Americans, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

The poll shows twice as many people — 57 percent — disapprove of how he’s handled the situation.

One month ago, 44 percent disapproved of his handling of the situation and 25 percent approved.

The poll echoes a series of polls this week that have shown opposition to military action in Syria about twice as high as support.

The NBC/WSJ poll largely confirms those findings, with 58 percent saying they would like their representative in Congress to oppose military action and 33 percent saying they want their member to support it.
