Al Gore and climate change are “favorite piñatas for the media,” an official with the former vice president’s climate change group said in an internal memo to staff.
The missive from Dan Stiles, the chief operating officer of the Climate Reality Project, was in response to a story by BuzzFeed that suggested Gore’s group is getting smaller in size and scope.
In the letter to staff, obtained by BuzzFeed, Stiles called Gore a “fearless leader,” and slammed the press for its coverage of the ex-Veep and climate change writ large.
