Update: They’ve been searching for Badie since Morsi was overthrown.
Via The Hill:
The spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, General Guide Mohammed Badie, has been arrested and detained in Cairo, according to reports.
Badie had been on the run as the interim government in Egypt tries to crack down on protests at the ousting of President Mohammed Morsi, who has ties to the Brotherhood.
The residential flat where Badie was detained is near the site of a six-week protest by Brotherhood supporters that was broken up last week in a bloody clash.
