No surprise Vogue is run by Obama mega-bundler Anna Wintour.

While Texas Sen. Wendy Davis (D) considers a gubernatorial run to paint the Lone Star State purple, she’s working on perfecting her “cool mom” status.

Davis is the subject of an extensive profile in Vogue’s September issue. In the piece, Davis recalls her memories of her absent father, her first jobs and her stark first wedding. While the woman that appears in the folds of the year’s most highly anticipated fashion issue is poised, polished and politically viable, Davis alludes to her pre-political self, a woman with untamable frizzy hair, with humor.

“I remember we’d go into restaurants and everyone wanted to talk politics, and I thought, God, this is soooo boring,” Davis said about her life before public office when she was married to Jeff Davis, the youngest ever Fort Worth city council member.
