Sen. John McCain responded Thursday to President Barack Obama’s quip about their relationship being “a classic romantic comedy,” saying it was probably reminiscent of “The Honeymooners” or “I Love Lucy.”
“Given my age, how about … ‘The Honeymooners’ or maybe ‘I Love Lucy,’” the Arizona Republican told CNN’s John Berman, laughing when asked what comedy would best describe the sometimes difficult relationship. “The point is, I want to work with the president where the nation’s interests are at stake and we can work together.
