Reid Epstein of Politco wrote the above story about Organizing For Action specifically supporting the campaign of Michelle Nunn. He noted the issue of this being against their putative IRS designation as a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization.

Apparently, OFA didn’t like that and tried to strong arm Epstein’s sources on the story, to get them to retract what they said.

Awkward is perhaps a generous characterization…
