Her filibuster of a Texas anti-abortion law lasted just 13 hours, but a new report reveals that the Big Three networks gave Democratic Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis three times as much coverage as the entire 58-day murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell.
According to the Culture and Media Institute, ABC, NBC, and CBS turned Davis into an abortion hero by devoting 40 minutes, 48 seconds of their morning and evening news programs to her June 25 filibuster, which was eventually pushed aside when the legislature approved tighter abortion restrictions.
By comparison, the networks provided 13 minutes and 30 seconds to the Gosnell trial and only after conservative groups demanded coverage of the horrific Philadelphia trial.
