Although it appears he is holding a press conference, it is interesting that reporters were apparently not allowed into this “secret meeting” with Snowden, just select people, including people from Human Rights Watch,were invited. One sent out the above picture,

Snowden is now saying he wants asylum in Russia because he needs it to be free to travel to travel to Latin America, which is apparently his desired final port. He had applied to Russia previously, but had pulled his application back after Vladimir Putin said in order to consider his application, he would “have to stop harming the United States”.
