Update to this story. Note: Professor Deandre Poole is also a Democratic party official.
Via BizPacReview:
The last time we checked in with Florida Atlantic University instructor Deandre Poole, Ph.D., who was just rewarded with a contract renewal by the school, he was advising his students to write the name “Jesus” on a piece of paper, then place the paper on the floor and stomp on it.
When a student took offense and complained about the assignment that came to be known as “Stomp Jesus,” the story went viral. Much of the angst resulting from the national firestorm was directed at Poole, who was eventually placed on administrative leave for safety reasons.
In a Friday news dump, Heather Coltman, interim dean of the College of Arts and Letters, stated that Poole “was offered and has accepted an appointment as an instructor, beginning with the 2013 summer term.”
