President Obama took a bachelor’s road trip to Massachusetts Wednesday to help Democratic Senate candidate Rep. Edward Markey, taking advantage of being away from his fit wife to grab a cheesburger lunch.
Shortly before noon, Obama and his posse stopped at Charlie’s Sandwich Shoppe (motto: “where hash rules”) in Boston’s South End where other politicians like Gov. Deval Patrick and Mayor Tom Menino waited.
The pool report noted: “Before leaving the restaurant, the president purchased a cheeseburger and fries for lunch. He emerged holding lunch in a white paper bag.”
