As George Zimmerman‘s trial is set to begin, new video — which the Zimmerman’s defense team says was recorded on Trayvon Martin‘s cellphone — has gone public. The footage captures two men fighting apparently over a bicycle, and Zimmerman’s defense argued it could help in identifying the voice screaming on the 911 call.
The voice on the video is Martin’s, Zimmerman’s lawyers say — but the person recording the footage is never seen. “The video was released by Zimmerman’s defense through a website where his lawyers have been posting press releases and possible evidence,” NBC News reported. Zimmerman’s defense team has urged for it to be allowed into evidence.
