Actually, we’re smart enough to know that legalizing 11 million people is like committing national suicide.

TOURE: The rank-and-file does not understand the value of bringing Latinos and just not offending them. They also don’t understand the massive economic boon it would be to giving 11 million people a little more income so they could pay more taxes, be better consumers, be full parts of this nation, protect themselves legally. They don’t understand that because they’ve been dealing with decades of disinformation from the Lou Dobbses and the Rush Limbaughs and the Bill O’Reillys and the Sean Hannitys. So they think that these people are welfare kings and queens. They just come here to suck off our entitlement state, our welfare state. They don’t understand that this not only is a massive boon giving them citizenship, but we would lose a lot if it was physically possible to deport 11 million people. So we have lawmakers who are saying, I can support this and then lose now or we can support this and lose in the future. Well, I don’t want to get primaried, so I’ll find my way out of this.
