Just because she called for a U.S. invasion of Israel doesn’t mean she shouldn’t be U.N. ambassador, right?
Via The Hill:
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Wednesday said he supported President Obama’s nomination of Samantha Power to be the new U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
“I believe she is well-qualified for this important position and hope the Senate will move forward on her nomination as soon as possible,” said McCain in a statement.
President Obama on Wednesday urged senators to quickly confirm Power.
“To ensure that we have the principled leadership we need at the United Nations,” Obama said, “I would strongly urge the Senate to confirm her without delay.”
