Thursday, President Obama and Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan held a joint news conference in the White House Rose Garden.

Before concluding his remarks and taking questions from the press, President Obama preemptively addressed the Benghazi attack.

He stressed that he’s intent on doing everything possible to prevent another such attack, and is therefore taking a number of steps recommended by the Accountability Review Board.

“I’m calling on Congress to work with us to support and fully fund our budget request to improve our embassies around the world,” the president said.
