Miraculous.
Via NY Post:
A seamstress who struggled to survive for 17 days in the dark basement of a pancaked Bangladeshi factory building couldn’t imagine she would see daylight ever again — but yesterday, she miraculously did.
Reshma Begum’s fierce desire to live, her luck at being trapped in a wide space where she had an air pocket, and her discovery of water and dried food all helped contribute to her being rescued alive.
Begum, 19, never gave up trying to alert crews she was buried.
Yesterday, salvage workers, who had recovered more than 1,000 bodies and had lost any hope of finding anyone alive, suddenly heard a pipe banging and a voice calling out.
