A new investigative video shows a Washington, D.C.-based abortion doctor admitting that if a baby is born alive in his clinic after a failed abortion attempt he would let the baby suffocate on fluid in the child’s throat or lungs.

A pro-life activist who is six months pregnant asks Dr. Cesare Santangelo of the Washington Surgi-Clinic, which is located just five blocks west of the White House, what would happen if the baby she’s carrying were accidentally born alive during an abortion. […]

DR. SANTANGELO: We’ve had patients that, you know, on the second day of the laminaria they, they got some contractions and they panicked, and they were in Virginia at the hospital–and they went to the hospital, because they had some pains, instead of calling me, you know? And just went to the hospital. And the hospital helped them to deliver! Which was the stupidest thing they could have done–

WOMAN: Oh my God.

DR. SANTANGELO: You know? Which–you know? And they did everything they shouldn’t have done, which was help them to deliver. They didn’t want to deliver! But, you know, they went to a hospital in Virginia and found some “right to life” type of nurse that helped them to deliver. And they did everything that, you know–this is not what this patient wanted. she didn’t want to have a baby. she wanted to have a termination. But, y’know, you couldn’t talk to this nurse in Virginia, which is, you know, one of the worst states in the country as far as, you know, having an abortion. But, you know, you couldn’t talk to this person, you know? I said, “The woman does not want to have a baby.” “Well, shes having one tonight!” I said, “Well, you know, that’s not your choice!” “Well, she came to our hospital, she’s contracting, and this is God’s will.” “God’s will”? I mean, that’s not what she wants!

DR. SANTANGELO: But, you know, you call me–you have any problems, any questions, anything at all–you’ll be okay.
