President Barack Obama said that the government was investigating Monday’s bombings at the Boston Marathon as an act of terrorism.

The president said that authorities were still not able to identify the individual or groups — be they foreign or domestic — responsible for yesterday’s attack at the finish line of the high-profile sporting event, but that investigators were treating it as a terrorist attack.
