At a time of great tragedy, with police trying to do what they can, what authorities really need is those wacky fun boys from Anonymous. This tweet came across the boards shortly after the explosions and is from the main Anonymous PR twitter account.

Huh, what?

Why were they calling it a police state? Because in the aftermath of the bombing cell phones were overloaded, and there were reports that cell service may have been shut off in the local area to prevent accidental remote detonation of bombs.

But, naturally, Anonymous sees the evil conspiracy option.

They then actually said the police didn’t care about people communicating with each other and compared this bombing with actions taken by U.S. government.

Of course, Anonymous has shown its PR tin ear in the past, such as when they essentially praised Hurricane Sandy for stopping “capitalism” and then threatened Special Report’s Bret Baier for reporting on their comments.
