President Obama is taking flack from some liberals for his Fiscal 2014 budget proposal that includes changes to future Social Security payments, and for his apparent willingness to address entitlement reform as part of a larger deal with the GOP.

But one prominent Democratic strategist believes that, in his heart, the president enjoys ticking off his base.

“I think he likes that. I don’t he’s upset” about angering some liberals, James Carville said during an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Friday.
