Vice President Joe Biden criticized the National Rifle Association for succeeding in spreading “disinformation” as the debate over gun control has heated up.

“The one thing the NRA has done so well lately is the disinformation,” Biden said during a roundtable interview with MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

Biden made similar comments at a press conference on Tuesday, claiming the NRA was running “campaign of disinformation to try to scare people.”

After meeting with Biden in January 2013, NRA representatives said they were “disappointed” that “this Administration continues to insist on pushing failed solutions to our nation’s most pressing problems.”
