Holocaust Remembrance Day, which was held yesterday, is observed as Israel’s day of commemoration for the approximately six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust as a result of the actions carried out by Nazi Germany and its collaborators, and for Jewish resistance in that period. In Israel, it is a national memorial day.
After nearly 70 years since the liberation of the concentrations camps, there are still peoples and even entire communities that deny the Holocaust ever happened.
