Jada Pinkett Smith is producing a movie honoring Angela Davis, another 60s radical, Communist, Black Panther, FBI’s Ten Most Wanted member.

Ms. Davis bought guns that were used to blow off the head of a judge as Greg succintly notes. Her friends used the guns she acquired in an escape attempt from a court, resulting in the death of the judge, a juror, a prosecutor and three black men. After beating a murder rap, Davis subsequently ran to Cuba.

She returned to the U.S. and became a professor at U.C. Santa Cruz. Most recently, now retired, she has been involved at Occupy protests, calling for more revolution and fighting the system, including eliminating the “prison industrial complex”.
