Joe, you’re supposed to say everything is puppy dogs and rainbows.

Vice President Joe Biden offered a positive spin Friday on the March jobs numbers, saying he’s glad that the economy is still adding jobs.
“The economy is now add[ing] private sector jobs every month. Disappointing this month, but they nonetheless added jobs,” he said during a speech to the Export-Import Bank’s conference in Washington. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday that the economy created a lower-than-expected 88,000 jobs last month.
Later, when discussing the outlook for American trade, Biden noted — as he often does — that he’s “the White House optimist.”
