I wonder if Pfeiffer really believes the nonsense he spews?

Via Politico:

Obama senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer defended the White House’s strategy of reaching out to non-political news sources and producing its own coverage for social media.

“There is no such thing as a softball interview,” Pfeiffer said, noting that President Obama has gotten tough questions from Jay Leno and other “soft” interviewers.

Those interviews, he said, are “not a substitute for interaction with the White House press corps, it’s in addition to.” But given the nature of modern media consumptioon, “we have to be on ESPN, we have to be on ‘The Daily Show,’ we have to be on YouTube.”
