First Lady Michelle Obama will make her third visit to Chicago of the year next month, something she did rarely during President Obama’s first term and a possible sign she is laying the groundwork for a 2016 Senate run in Illinois.
The April 10 appearance is of particular interest because it does not involve either of her pet projects – support for military families and kids’ health.
Instead, the first lady will speak at a youth violence event “to address local business and community leaders about providing more opportunities for young people to achieve their full potential,” according to the White House.
