SOMALIA — At least four Al-Shabaab militants have been killed and nine others injured in an explosion in southwest Somali town of Dinsor, Bay region.

Details are scanty but locals near the scene of the incident told Bar-kulan that the Wednesday night explosion occurred inside an Al-Shabaab military base.

It is not yet clear what caused the explosion.

Locals say civilians were not harmed in the explosion as it had happened inside militant base. Al-Shabaab is yet to comment on the incident.

The incident comes few days after at least two suspected Al-Shabaab militants were killed after explosives they had went off near the venue of the ongoing Jubaland conference in Kismayo.
