(Reuters) – The Republican-controlled Arkansas House voted on Wednesday to override a gubernatorial veto of a bill that will ban most abortions in Arkansas after 12 weeks of pregnancy, the final vote needed for the nation’s most restrictive measure to become law.

Representatives voted to override Democratic Governor Mike Beebe’s veto. The Republican-controlled state Senate voted on Tuesday to override the veto. In Arkansas, lawmakers can override a veto by a simple majority vote.
