During today’s press conference, President Obama tried to illustrate the sequester’s negative impact by saying that Capitol Hill’s janitors and security guards will face a pay cut “starting tomorrow.” “They’re going to have less pay,” Obama told reporters. “They just got a pay cut and they’ve got to figure out how to manage that.”

But CNN’s Capitol Hill reporter Dana Bash spoke with the Senate’s sergeant-at-arms, who oversees the positions mentioned by president, and tweeted that there were no plans to cut their pay, at least for the time being.
