Former Vice President Al Gore praised Mayor Bloomberg Thursday and criticized the federal government on climate change at a gathering to address New York’s future after superstorm Sandy.
“What will it take for the national government to wake up as this mayor has been telling us to do?” said Gore, who was invited by Bloomberg to speak at the event, which was sponsored by the League of Conservation Voters and the Regional Plan Association.
Bloomberg talked to the crowd of business leaders and utility officials about rebuilding communities and preparing for future weather emergencies.
